Camille Somoza joined Ferraiuoli LLC in January 2015 as an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Bankruptcy Practice Group. Prior to becoming an Associate, Ms. Somoza served as a law clerk and Summer Associate for the firm from April 2013 until January 2015.

Prior to joining Ferraiuoli, Ms. Somoza worked as a law clerk at another major law firm in Puerto Rico from May until October 2012, where she acquired practical experience in litigation, motion practice, insurance law, and administrative procedures. As a law clerk and summer associate at Ferraiuoli, Ms. Somoza was responsible for reviewing and preparing contracts, preparing legal opinions and memoranda, conducting research on state and federal matters, drafting motions, and assisting in the preparation of articles published by renowned news sources. She gained experience in bankruptcy proceedings and creditor’s rights, litigation, and further experience in motion practice.

During her years at Syracuse University, Ms. Somoza served as public relations director of the Hispanic Business Community and as producer, weather reporter, and news writer of the news program in Spanish of the university’s network, Citrus TV Noticias en Español. She also participated in an exchange program in Madrid, Spain.

While in law school, Ms. Somoza served as Assistant Editor for the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, as treasurer for the Federal Bar Association, writer for the newsletter of the Intellectual Property Students’ Association, and student class representative.

Ms. Somoza served as a practitioner for the Mediation Legal Aid Clinic and is currently in the process of becoming a mediator certified by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.
